LGBT+ refugees stuck in Russia: DONATE TO HELP

With nowhere else to go, LGBT+ refugees are fleeing to Russia to escape abuse and persecution.

But Russia isn't safe for LGBT+ people, either.

All Out is working with Stimul to help these refugees while they wait for asylum in a safer country.

Donate today to help provide secret and safe temporary housing for LGBT+ refugees stuck in Russia.

When he was 15, Ibrahim's* family found out that he is gay. In Chechnya, where he's from, this can be like a death sentence.

For three years they tortured and abused him. They drugged him, beat him, and gave him electric shocks to try to "cure" him from being gay.

He didn’t think things could get any worse, but last year he became a part of Chechnya’s “gay purge.” His boyfriend worked for the government and told him he was on the list of targeted men. Shortly after, his boyfriend disappeared and no one heard from him again.

Ibrahim was terrified and knew he had to get out of Chechnya, so he fled to Russia. Like Ibrahim, many other LGBT+ people flee to Russia to escape even more dangerous places.

But life in Russia still isn’t safe for LGBT+ people, so they try to get relocated to a safer country. The asylum process can take years and they desperately need safe housing while they wait.

There’s a group in Russia that can help. They’re called Stimul and they can provide secret and safe temporary housing for LGBT+ refugees like Ibrahim, while they work on getting out of Russia. They just need the funds to do it.

Please donate today to help LGBT+ refugees who are stuck in Russia.
