It's illegal to be gay in Tunisia and LGBT people are often arrested for simply existing. It's incredibly rare for families to accept LGBT children.
Shams, a Tunisian LGBT organisation, currently runs the only LGBT shelter in Tunisia.
This shelter is more than just a safe place to live; for most of the homeless lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender people, it’s the only family they have left.
But the shelter could shut down by the end of February. After months seeking financial support, their resources have dried up.
With your help, we can raise enough money to help Shams pay rent until at least the end of the year.
This campaign is being run in conjunction with Shams – Pour la dépénalisation de l'homosexualité en Tunisie.
