The Emergency Shelter in Warsaw, Poland, is the only place in Eastern Europe that houses lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender people in need. But now, they need your support: In two weeks, when their funding runs out, they'll be forced to leave their building and shut down for good.

Chip in today to help save the shelter and keep its doors open in the bitterly cold Polish winter.

Update - March 25: Last month, we asked All Out members to help keep the Emergency Shelter going for one more month. What happened next blew us away: more than 2,900 All Out members went above and beyond, donating enough to keep the shelter open for at least four more months! Here is a personal video message to All Out members from the shelter’s residents and staff:

Published on February 10, 2016: Tomek is from a small town in Southern Poland. He's 19 years old, gay, and homeless. When he came out last year, his mother said he was “sick.” She humiliated and outed him to neighbours, putting his safety at risk. With nowhere to go, Tomek ended up alone and vulnerable on the street.

Until he found the Emergency Shelter in Warsaw – the only place in Eastern Europe helping homeless lesbian, gay, bi, and transgender people who have experienced violence and harassment. With a safe place to live, he was able to find a job and get back on his own two feet.

But now the shelter is in big trouble. After months trying to find support with no success, the shelter’s resources have quickly dried up – and, in two weeks, they will be forced to leave their building and shut it down for good.

That’s where we come in. With your help, we can raise enough in the next three days to keep the shelter open for at least another month. This would give them time to find long-term funding for the rest of the year. It would mean that Tomek and the other resident don't lose the only place that gives them safety and warmth.

Can you chip in to help save the shelter before it’s too late?
