To: Mark Okerstrom, CEO of the Expedia Group
Last September, 75 people were arrested after someone waved a rainbow flag at a concert in Cairo.
This year, at least 33 people have so far been arrested and taken to court, just because authorities presumed they're LGBT+. And even tourists get arrested on accusations of "debauchery" and deported from the country.
Send an email directly to Mark Okerstrom and ask the Expedia Group to speak up for LGBT+ Egyptians and sign this open letter, reminding the Egyptian state of its responsibility to protect their citizens and release all those from prison who were put in jail just because they’re assumed to be LGBT+.
